There are always anime characters that give you chills when on screen. It could be because they're unpredictable, their personality or even their character design. They usually strike fear into the hearts of people around them.


We'll be listing down the top 10 most intimidating characters in no particular order. This will include both manga and anime characters.


1. Orochimaru (Naruto)



Orochimaru was very intimidating especially in the first half of Naruto. This was because there were barely any characters that could match his strength. His unusual jutsu and aura made Naruto characters tremble when they heard his name. He would do anything to accomplish his goal even if that means stepping on the people who were once his comrades. He's known to be heartless and manipulates people to drive his own ambitions forward.


2. Kanki (Kingdom)



Kanki is one of the most mysterious characters in Kingdom; that's what makes him so interesting. He's the definition of heartlessness and unpredictability. Though, he has shown compassion for his comrades but maybe not in the way you'd expect.


He would sacrifice thousands of soldiers without a second thought with strategies that seem reckless. These characteristics are exactly what makes him good at warfare his opponents or even his comrades can never read him. He's definitely one of the most cruel, intimidating and cunning characters in anime.



3. Akashi (Kuroko no Basket)



Akashi had been built up throughout the whole series as being the leader of the Generation of Miracles. It's no surprise that he's menacing. Keeping the Generation of Miracles under control is no easy task.


It also doesn't help that he tried to kill someone just for interrupting a meeting. He strikes fear into the hearts of the best basketball players due to his skill and leadership qualities. He has utter faith in his abilities and doesn't believe in losing.



4. Garou (One Punch Man)



Garou is intimidating due to his willpower alone. His strong ideology empowers him and he'll fight anyone that stands in his way. He's driven by a strong sense of justice. His ability to learn and improve at a rapid rate makes him even scarier. Garou stands on his morals and principles and never backs down from a fight no matter what the odds are.



5. Uruma (Juujika no Rokunin)



Uruma went from a kind-hearted child who got bullied to a cold-hearted killer who kills his bullies. He tortures them in the most brutal ways. He shows no remorse or sympathy because what they did was unforgivable. He's set on his goal of revenge and nothing will get in his way.


He even decided not to kill his bullies if they changed their ways but when he realized they were irredeemable he showed no mercy.
